Archery Scoring System

Formula

Total = sum of all end scores.
Average per arrow = total / (number of ends * 6).

In target archery, athletes shoot ends of 6 arrows at a target with concentric rings valued from 1 (outer) to 10 (center, or X-ring). A perfect end of 6 arrows scores 60.

Different rounds consist of varying numbers of ends at different distances. Tracking scores per end and per arrow helps identify consistency and areas for improvement.

Common use cases:

  • Competition scoring and tracking
  • Training progress analysis
  • Handicap calculation
