Track Your Child's Growth Percentile
Formula
Growth percentiles show how a child's height and weight compare to other children of the same age and sex. The CDC growth charts are the standard reference in the United States for children aged 2-20.
A child at the 50th percentile is exactly average. Being at the 75th percentile means they are taller or heavier than 75% of children their age. Consistent growth along a percentile curve is more important than the specific number.
Common use cases:
- Pediatric well-child visit preparation
- Monitoring growth patterns over time
- Identifying potential growth concerns
