Snell's Law Refraction Calculator

Formula

n₁sin(θ₁) = n₂sin(θ₂); critical angle = arcsin(n₂/n₁) when n₁ > n₂.

Calculate refraction angles using Snell's law: n₁sin(θ₁) = n₂sin(θ₂). Also computes the critical angle for total internal reflection.

Common use cases:

  • Fiber optics design
  • Lens engineering
  • Underwater visibility analysis
